Over 150 volunteers from Atento in El Salvador answered thousands of Salvadorians calls owing to the "Teletón", a charitable marathon intended to raise funds in favor of the reinstatement and integration of the country's handicapped children.

In all, the volunteers answered over 5000 calls and were able to raise over one-half million US dollars.

In addition to their participation in the marathon, the Atento volunteers organized a number of supplementary activities in order to raise more funds.  Among these the Pro Teletón concert was especially successful, which exhibited three of the country's most popular groups. By virtue of these actions, Atento El Salvador was able to collect a further 2600 US dollars for handicapped children.

Atento made available to the charitable organization the handling of calls, the platform and technology, and recruited the volunteers to receive the donations.

This action falls within the Social Responsibility program "Voces que Ayudan" (voices that help), which the Atento Group has developed in order to assist the less favored population through its key activity: telephone assistance.
