Guadalajara September 16, 2008. An award ceremony was held last Monday, September 8 in recognition of the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices, in Guadalajara, Jalisco. These awards are intended to acknowledge those companies that adopt activities which have a positive impact on society.

During this event Atento Argentina and Atento Mexico and Central America were awarded prizes in the classes Applying Corporate Social Responsibility to the Value Chain and Quality of Life in the Company, respectively.

During this 9th award ceremony in recognition of Best CSR Practices sponsored by CEMEFI (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropia), Latin American companies were represented for the first time. As a result, the Atento Group was for the first time distinguished with this award, disputed by 100 companies and over 60 activities.

Specifically, Atento Argentina was awarded a prize for its successful "Voices that Help" program. This initiative is one of the most important activities in the Social Responsibility program which Atento has been developing in order to assist the less favored population by means of its main activity: Telephone communications. Since this activity began, over 30 thousand calls have been made in Argentina and over 14 million Argentine pesos were collected.

On the other hand, Atento Mexico and Central America's region participated and was selected for a prize by virtue of the "Atento Rally" program. This is an innovative initiative created three years ago with the intention of encouraging integration and satisfaction among its more than 16 thousand staff members, promoting quality of life in the company through a number of different activities in order to create a bond with the brand name and its values.
