Alejandro Reynal Ample
In 2000, Alejandro started his career with Telefonica and until 2004 he was General Manager of Atento in Puerto Rico. He led the company in a turnaround effort and development of the company’s new strategic plan which resulted in a compound annual growth rate in revenues of 50% and positive net results over a period of 4 years.
From late 2004 until 2007, he held the position of Corporate Director for Atento at the Headquarters in Madrid. He had direct responsibility for managing five Corporate Functional Areas, including Strategy, Human Resources, and Technology. He successfully implemented the new company wide strategy which resulted in a sustained and profitable growth.
In late 2007, Alejandro was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Atento in Spain; and in August 2008, Regional Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In this role he had total management and P&L responsibility for a staff of over 20,000 employees. He led the Region to a sustained and profitable growth during his tenure. Atento´s Spanish operation was awarded two prestigious awards in 2010: Best Outsourcer and Best Place to Work.
Prior to returning to Atento as CEO Alejandro joined Telefonica's Headquarters and was appointed Corporate Strategy Director for the Telefonica Group.
Before joining Telefonica, Alejandro was Director for The Coca-Cola Company between 1994 and 1998. In 1999, Alejandro was Business Development Manager for the International Division of The Gap, Inc.
He holds an undergraduate and Master's degree in Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Harvard Business School.
